Exhibitor Parking, Load In and Load Out Information
Exhibitors!
IFEST is open to the public from 10:30am – 4pm, Saturday May 4th, 2019, at the Seattle Center Armory.
Load-in & Parking Directions
Load-in is from 8:00 am to 10:00am on Saturday May 4th. You do not necessarily need to arrive at 8:00 am, just ensure you arrive early enough to give yourself enough time to have your table set-up and ready by 10:00 am.
The March of Dimes walk will be taking up 2nd Ave North, which will ensnarl traffic. This street will be difficult to navigate and will be off limits.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church has been gracious in allowing their parking lot as a drop-off zone option for IFEST exhibitors. IFEST Sprites (volunteers) will be stationed near the perimeter to help direct which space to drop off and rendezvous to the Seattle Center Armory. Sprites will also have a few rolling carts with them to help with load-in. Thomas Street and John Street will be your best entry points to get to the Sacred Heart Church drop-off zone: https://goo.gl/maps/m9ecWhkGJmtES9Kd6
Load-Out
Out of courtesy to festival patrons, please wait until 3:30pm to start the load-out process.
Please note the MoPOP turnaround (5th Ave and Harrison) is for load-out only.
There is no parking at the turnaround and your vehicle will need to be moved once you are done loading. The closest parking areas are located here (www.seattlecenter.com/transportation/parking):
- Mercer Street Garage
- 1st Avenue North Garage
- 5th Avenue Garage
Player’s Choice Award
All tables must be present and setup by 10:15am to participate in the Player’s Choice Award. Game developers will be entered to win a mystery prize from our sponsor partners, Microsoft. IFEST attendees can vote for their favorite game by visiting the AIE booth, right next to the stage area. We will be announcing the winner of the Player’s Choice Award at 3:00pm. Voting is reserved only for IFEST attendees, and only one vote per person.
Exhibitor Table Setup
You will be assigned a table space and an assigned table number when you arrive. We will be sending another e-mail by April 28th that will include your assigned number directing where your space will be on the map.
Please Bring the Following:
- An extension cord/surge protector.
- An extra rolling cart for load-in and load-out.
- Non-branded or branded table cloth for an 8” table. An extra if you ordered for two tables.
- Any free swag or free giveaway merch for attendees is allowed. (IFEST is not a trade show – stickers, merch or game sales are not permitted on Seattle Center Grounds.)
WiFi
There is free WiFi (from Microsoft) in the Seattle Center Armory. The free WiFi only lasts a short time before requiring the user to “sign in” again, so please make other arrangements (hotspot) as needed.
IFEST SPRITES
Our Sprites are our volunteers for IFEST. If you see someone in a black IFEST t-shirt with “SPRITE” written on the back – they are here to help!
Sprites can:
- Cover your table if you need to go to the restroom or want to take a break.
- Assist with any exhibitor needs (extra chairs, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Yes, they can playtest your game! With the developer’s permission, of course.
- Help direct you on the map where load-in and load-out areas are and general show information.
Smoking Information
All Seattle Center facilities are non-smoking in compliance with the Washington Indoor Clean Air Act, which prohibits smoking in all public places and within 25 feet of any entrance, exit, or ventilation intake.
Harassment Policy
IFEST and Seattle Center Armory is a hate-free zone – which means any kind of harassment will not be tolerated. If you or anyone around you is subjected to this, please reach out to a Sprite or anyone at the AIE booth. Seattle Center security will be on the premises if you needed to report any violence or suspicious activity.
Accessibility Needs
No cars are permitted on the Seattle Center campus. Please e-mail if you have accessibility needs, and we will work with you to find a load-in/load-out solution.
Please note, IFEST is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.
