Melbourne iFEST Workshops 2015
iFEST Melbourne is made up of two events, both on Sunday 29th March at Federation Square:
The indie game showcase is being held in the Atrium in Federation Square and is open to the public to play and vote for their favourite game. Over 25 developers that range from start-ups, student groups and established studios will be showing their work.
Workshops in The Cube, ACMI are all about sharing practical game development knowledge and skills on a variety of topics.

Game Level Design in Unreal Engine Presented by Brendan Bottomley Learn how to design levels in Unreal Engine 4, a professional suite of free development tools used to develop console, PC and mobile games. |

11:00 AM | Rapid Game Development using GameMaker Presented by Murray Lorden Create a game in 30 minutes using GameMaker, an accessible game engine that requires no programming skills to get started. |

12:00 PM | Creatures for Games Presented by Blake Hollins This workshop will cover the art pipeline that takes creatures from concept art into the game, focusing on bringing characters to life through 3D sculpting using zBrush. |

2:00 PM | Using FMOD Studio for Game Sound Presented by Sally-Anne Kellaway This session will take you through the major features of FMOD Studio and demonstrate many implementation methods for interactive and adaptive audio in the FMOD Studio environment. Targeted at Sound Designers and Implementers, this session will lay down basics (eg, sound module type, parameters and the 3D panner) and also show you tips and tricks (eg, advanced parameters, automation and snapshots) to achieve more highly developed implementations more efficiently. |
